End-to-End Network and Circuit Management/Monitoring

Management Portal

The Multapplied SD-WAN Management Portal provides the ability to view, control, and change your customers’ network through a simple Graphical User Interface (GUI).  Easily set global attributes, which can be applied across all your networks or across specific networks.

Multapplied’s WAN visibility and control capabilities are available through:

  1. Graphical User Interface of the Management Server
  2. Extensive Application Programming Interface (API) that allows you to integrate into existing Billing or Network Management Systems (NMS) or other partner systems providing command, control, notifications and data integrations

Configuration Management

Multapplied’s SD-WAN Node configurations are managed centrally and deployed/updated remotely. This allows for simple end-user installation, if required.

When a configuration change is made to a bond or aggregator setting in the Management Server application, an update command is pushed to that node over the management VPN. You can monitor the status of these messages on the bond or aggregator details page under “Updates”.

Configuration Management

API

Multapplied’s Application Programming Interface (API) allows integration with  external systems providing ease of management, notifications and automation. It is accessed over HTTP using a pattern known as REpresentational State Transfer or REST.

API

Here are a few examples of what you can do with the API:

  • Integrate with your existing network monitoring system, so that your NOC is notified when legs or bonds go down or come back up.
  • Add space and user objects automatically when records are added to your CRM system.
  • Let your billing system automatically report legs and IP addresses on customer invoices.
  • Connect with an existing customer portal to let customers change compression, QoS, or encryption settings.
  • Write a script to create bond and leg records from the data in an existing database.
  • Create custom troubleshooting tools that report traffic loads, link latency, and packet loss rates in any format you need.
  • Avoid IP conflicts by integrating the IP management features in this application with your existing IP management software.

Global Orchestration

Global orchestration is the ability to program automated behaviors in a network to coordinate the required networking hardware and software elements to support applications and services.

Global orchestration can start with customer service orders, generated by either manual tasks or customer-driven actions such as the ordering a service through a website.

The application or service would then use orchestration technology to provide the service. This might require setting up virtual network layers, server-based virtualization, or security services such as an encrypted tunnel.

Management Portal

Multapplied’s WAN visibility and control capabilities are available through:

  1. The Management Portal included in the software,
  2. An API that allows you to integrate control and data from Multapplied SDWAN into existing Network Management Software packages,

The Management Portal in Multapplied SDWAN provides you with the ability to view and control individual networks for individual customers. It also provides you with the ability to set and inherit global attributes, which can be globally applied across all your networks or within specific networks.

  • Let your billing system automatically report legs and IP addresses on customer invoices.
  • Connect with an existing customer portal to let customers change compression, QoS, or encryption settings.
  • Write a one-time-use script to create bond and leg records from the data in an existing database.
  • Create custom troubleshooting tools that report traffic loads, link latency, and packet loss rates in any format you need.
  • Avoid IP conflicts by integrating the IP management features in this application with your existing IP management software.
