Our IP management means customer IP addresses don’t have to change in the event a link goes offline. This means you can continue computing through an ISP outage without interruption as the connection seamlessly fails over to an active link.
How Does it Work?
Multapplied SD-WAN allows you to manage customer IP network deployment and define routing groups and subnets. You can allocate public IPs to customers within the SD-WAN space you provide. In this setup, child spaces can inherit IP assignments from parent spaces.
What does that mean for you?
Generally, IP management aids in the distribution of public IPs between spaces. In most cases, creating IP allocations for private IPs is unnecessary.
IP management provides two main capabilities.
IP management allows you to verify that IPs are only used at routing groups where the IP is valid. This avoids situations where IPs valid at one data center are accidentally assigned to bonds running on aggregators at a different data center.
IP management also facilitates the delegation of network from a parent space to a child space, indicating the child space has permission to use the subnet and allowing users in the child space to assign IPs from the subnet to bonds in the space. This provides both convenience and security, as it prevents the configuration of unknown networks on a bond or private WAN space.
